THE PROBLEM OF ASUU AND THE GOVERNEMENT
I don’t have time for people that have incurable running mouths. People who are societal failures in live both happen to be the foot soldiers of one thieve called politician or the other. We are doomed because Nigeria as a country does not use the best brains but rather use loyal fools. Today our children are seeing these miscreants as opinion leaders.
I don’t care what the reason is for the withdrawal of government from negotiation table with ASUU is but let me say the truth once so that posterity will be the judge.
The Nigerian government is known to be chameleon that changes its colour to suit the situation not all our honourable members keep quiet.
I know that Obasanjo gave politician improved package as salary when this is being done the government didn’t remember that these politician are paid by different arms of the government like councilor by local government, house of assembly member by state and senator by the federal government. All these people are enjoying a uniform bumper package as salary. Now that ASUU is asking for the same to be done for them the government has suddenly realized that this is against the principle of power sharing. I also remember that the government set a minimum wage for the whole country and they didn’t remember that this is against the principle of power sharing then.
What ASUU want is just the government to approve a good pay package as minimum wage for out tertiary schools. I don’t see anything wrong with this. Nigeria makes good money. If the money is not used to pay the workers well the story that it will be used to give the citizen democratic dividend has been proven to be false. All we will hear is that the money has found its way into some people private accounts. If the government sets up a board of inquiry to look into it just be rest assured that that’s the end of the case. Qed.
Over the years all government board of inquiry is just a burial ground of fraudulent cases against anointed sons of government because we are practicing government of some people by some people for some people.
Mind you we are playing with future of Nigerian youths. Sycophants that are full in the corridors of power always deceive the ruling people that all is well but I tell you today that all is not well and will never be well until the government learnt that there is no substitute for justice.
Sometime I also blame these youths because they are the once that will be used to steal ballot paper that will bring these thieves into power.
I will stop here but a word is enough for the wise.
