THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US
When president barrack Obama started his campaign for the presidency of United States we in Africa especially Nigeria followed with keen interest. When he won nomination we celebrated it in bars, newspaper stand and virtually everywhere. Some Nigerians both poor and rich wanted to donate money to help him win the election. When some Nigerians were rebuffed or literarily insulted because they donated money for his campaign. We were taken aback. (Mind you, we do not know the laws governing American election so I don’t think they should castigate us for that) Obama’s camp did not say a single kind word for their effort. We forgave him for that and learnt our lesson the hard way .though I have little or nothing I was willing to sacrifice the little I have to help him just because we felt loved for being at least half African.
