Pope Benedict Resign

Its not my business what the pope is doing has done or will do. What is disturbing is that the pope is a role model especially here in Africa where people think he is God. The truth is that he is not and I will not be surprised if he is involved directly in child abuse. What baffles me is that the church that preaches truth and honesty has been shown to be dishonest and culpable if not conniving in the act and cover up. Well it goes to show that they are humans after all. So be honest for once, stop I am holier than thou stance. I know for sure that many people in the monastery have a way of releasing tension in the monastery. The rampant abuse of children goes a long way to show that the monastery may be the camp site of natural homosexuals, who due to long years of societal ostracism hide most of their private lives under cassock. Let’s be frank for once. If Pope Benedict is honest he should resign or be open and honest with the truth. The claim that these things happened years ago is a lame excuse because the church hides it and made it so. No wonder people are disillusioned about the church but many are cowards who don't have enough courage to go to the public with the truth. The church shouldn't be so keen on proving to us that Nigerian politicians may be more honest than them. That will be adding salt to injury.
